An online crochet row and stitch counter

Use one large tap target to count rows, stitches or repeats. Keep separate counters for your projects, adjust a count and undo a recent tap. Start immediately; a project name is optional.

A target helps you see how far you have to go. Repeat length shows completed groups and your position within the next group. When counting stitches, row targets and Finish row let you move to the next row deliberately rather than treating every tap as a completed row.

How to use the crochet row counter

  1. Use the first counter or add a separate project. Choose whether you are counting rows, stitches or repeats.
  2. Tap +1 or +10 as you work. Use −1 or Undo to correct a recent change, and add a target or repeat length when helpful.
  3. Return to this browser to continue your saved count. For a generated color chart, use its Make view to follow the exact row and color group.

Counter features

  • Separate project counters with optional names, targets and repeat lengths.
  • Large +1 control, +10, decrease and recent-change undo, plus a confirmation before resetting.
  • Optional stitch targets for individual rows and an explicit Finish row action.
  • Device saving, account sync when signed in, and an optional screen-awake control on supporting browsers.

Crochet row counter questions

Can I use this as a crochet stitch counter?

Yes. Choose stitches rather than rows and tap for each stitch or group. You can set a row target and use Finish row to advance the working row and reset its stitch count. A row is not automatically completed just because you reach a number.

Will my crochet row count be saved when I close the page?

Counts are saved in this browser so you can return on the same device. Clearing site data can remove local counters. Signed-in counters can also sync to your account; a pending or failed save is shown rather than being reported as complete.

Can I keep counters for several crochet projects?

Yes. Add a separate counter for each project and switch between their tabs. Names are optional, and each counter keeps its own value, target and repeat settings. The current limit is 50 counters.

What if I tap the counter twice by mistake?

Use Undo to reverse recent count changes during the current session, or decrease the value by one. The counter keeps up to 30 recent changes for undo while the page is open. Its saved count returns after reloading, but the temporary undo history does not.

How do crochet pattern repeats work in this counter?

Set the repeat length to the number of counts in one group. The page shows how many full groups are complete and where you are inside the next group. It tracks your numbers; it does not infer the stitch instructions for your pattern.

Can the online counter keep my screen awake?

Enable the screen-awake option if your browser and device support it, and keep the tab visible. The browser can release the lock when the tab is hidden or the device changes state. If it is unavailable, the page explains that and you can use your device's display settings.
